Bosley St. Mary's CE Primary School

Bosley St Mary’s CE Primary School is at the heart of the rural village of Bosley. It welcomed its first pupils in November 1858, underwent expansion in 1897 and extensive renovation in 2003. In 2021 Bosley Pre-School was enveloped into the EYFS unit of Bosley School allowing seamless transition through the EYFS period. Also in 2021, Bosley School joined the Chester Diocesan Academies Trust.
Bosley School remains a smaller than average primary school with a capacity for 56 children and 6 pre-school children taught in 3 classes. The school’s traditional building, coupled with modern features and outdoor learning areas and its long running heritage, offers a unique setting in which pupils are welcomed, nurtured and their achievements celebrated by the whole school family. Pupils are proud to say they are from Bosley St Mary’s when asked. They enjoy being at school with all the first-hand experiences that are offered and due to the small mixed classes, they can receive an education that is exactly right for them.
Bosley School has strong links with the Parish Church of St Mary The Virgin, and Bosley Methodist Chapel, as well as other local rural church schools. We sit at the centre of a strong rural community with many families actively involved in our school for many generations.
