Bosley Notes from the Parish Magazine
Spring is here at last after a few set backs and a busy month ahead with the Rogation Service at Wildboarclough on 10th May followed by a walk and picnic, let’s hope the weather is kind.
The next day, 11th May at 7.30pm at Sutton St. James Church our new vicar, Revd. Dr. John Harries , will be installed as the vicar of the joint benefice. The Bishop of Stockport, The Rt. Revd. Libby Lane, is taking this service and there will be refreshments afterwards in the Scout Hut. All are welcome and there will be a screen and sound system set up in the church hall for any overflow.
Services at Bosley, once we have our new vicar will be at 9.30am, a quarter of an hour earlier, to enable John to get to Sutton for their service at 11am.
Bobkins tell us that as our beautiful spring weather changes they will finally be able to climb out of the mud puddles play and watch the environment change. Potatoes have already been planted and the fruit trees and bushes blossom and flourish waiting for their delicious fruit to fill the snack bowls again.
Staff have completed dental awareness training and have become acutely aware of the importance of healthy eating. The snack menu has changed continuing daily fresh fruit and vegetables, but will offer only milk or water to drink and our toast, crackers or croissants will be accompanied by cheese or savoury dips rather than sugary preserves. It is hoped these small changes will make a big difference in oral health as our Bobkins grow. A short meeting with parents will be held so that all are aware of current recommendations. www.bosleybobkins.com (email), email@example.com 01260 222993
